  • ITMO Students and Staff Receive Badges of Honor on Student’s Day

    On January 25, celebrated in Russia as Student’s Day, accomplished representatives of St. Petersburg’s universities and citizens of the city were presented with special badges of honor. These medals are awarded to those who have made a notable contribution to moral enlightenment and took an active part in the life of society. Among those celebrated at the ceremony were a student and a staff member from ITMO University.


  • Russian Government to Invest Nearly Seven Billion Rubles in ITMO Highpark

    On October 20, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an executive order to allocate 6.8 billion rubles to construct ITMO Highpark, a world-class research, education, and innovation center in the satellite city Yuzhny.

    This year, ITMO University launched the ITMO.FUTURE contest for the second time. In March, students and staff could share their ideas on how to improve the university. Until April 21, students who would like to help winners implement their projects can also apply to join their teams.

    In late December, the students of ITMO’s Faculty of Physics and Engineering were first to try the new format of project defense aimed not only to expand their knowledge of the subject but also to train their presentation and teamwork skills.


  • Art Project as Thesis Initiative Launches at ITMO
