  • ITMO Student Niyaz Nigmatullin Named Among Tatarstan’s Top 50 People in IT

    The ranking was unveiled by the news outlet Business Online on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of Tatarstan’s IT-capital Innopolis. As its creators note, the list includes those who define the successes of the IT industry. Niyaz Nigmatullin, a tutor at ITMO University’s Information Technologies and Programming Faculty and two-time ICPC world champion, was included in the top-50. This ITMO graduate is currently head of methodology at Innopolis University’s olympiad training school, where school students from all over Russia prepare for national and international competitions.


  • Self-Driving Cars and Rovers: ITMO Students’ Projects at Skolkovo and Innopolis

    In April 2019, several second-year students of ITMO University’s Faculty of Control Systems and Robotics went to Innopolis to participate in the International Spring School on Self-Driving Vehicles. Their educational feats continued at Skolkovo, where they partook in the onsite round of the NTI Competition in the track “Aerospace systems”, taking third place as a result.   • ITMO University Students Win NTI Competition

    At the beginning of March, a number of ITMO University students went to Innopolis University to participate in the Competition of the National Technology Initiative, which they ended up winning. Previously held exclusively for school students, in 2019 the competition was spread to university students. By participant’s accounts, the organization process wasn’t always up to standard, but the four days of dynamic work and exciting collaborations at the state-of-the-art science center and communication were worth it.   • Innopolis University Invites to Participate in Exchange Programs

    Students of ITMO University who follow programs in data security, robotics and programming can apply for participating in a contest for a half-year free training program at the Innopolis University. In the spring of 2017, five winners will go to Kazan. Master's students can apply for such schools as "Secure Networks and Systems Development", "Robotics", "Software Development Management" and "Big Data Management". The Bachelors can apply for "Computer Science".


  • Innovation Valley: A New Startup Hub in Sochi

    Currently, Russia has two innovation hubs: Skolkovo and Innoppolis. Soon, there will be a third — one focused on startups. The Sochi Innovation Valley is going to differ from its' peers: it will be based on the existing Olympic infrastructure, and will not be funded by the government. The new Center will collaborate with ITMO University in the field of business development, as its' experts will supervise the business activities of the Valley.
