The company Orbi Prime, known for its video recording eyewear, came to the event for the third time and even received the CES Innovation Award in 2018. But in 2020, it focused on a new invention – a headset designed to record and stream video content. The company’s CTO Alexandr Moreno spoke to ITMO.NEWS about this new technology.

    ITMO University’s Department of Engineering and Computer Graphics, Center of Mixed Reality and Interface Design, the Video360Production project and the VR/AR Association have launched a series of events dedicated to the use of virtual, augmented and mixed reality technologies. Discussions will concern not only matters of the industry, but also the deeper aspects of VR as a new paradigm of existence. The first event’s discussions touched upon today’s VR/AR market, “gratuals and ingratuals”, and why philosophy is an integral part of virtual reality.

  • ITMO Technopark Resident Orbi Receives CES Innovation Awards in Wearables and VR/AR

    Orbi Prime, the world’s first wearable 360-degree camera glasses with a 4K resolution, were named among the best new innovations in two categories at CES 2018, the world’s largest technology and innovation show. The first batch will be released this August and shipped to the project’s backers. Orbi Inc. has been a resident of ITMO’s Technopark for a year.
