Pablo Picasso and Ballets Russes
- 7:30 pm
- Rodina cinema
- 600 rubles (tickets here)
Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes were full of unexpected collaborations and bold moves – and this was one of them: two ballets with stage sets and costumes designed by Pablo Picasso. The first one, Parade, is an example of surrealism in ballet that raised many eyebrows during its premiere in Paris and continues to startle viewers to this day. The second one, Pulcinella, a commedia dell'arte with music by Igor Stravinsky, amazes differently, with an intricate choreography that paints a vivid picture of each character.
