Etoetno (“This is Ethno”) is a two-day music festival that puts Russian folk music on the map. For its seventh installment, the festival will delight listeners with a diverse lineup of 15+ musicians, including solo performers and contemporary folk bands. Highlights for July 14 include Otava Yo from St. Petersburg – and Ay Yola from Ufa, whose tunes recently went viral.

Lakhta Center isn’t only an observation deck offering breathtaking city vistas – but also a hip art space now. Currently, the center exhibits a series of works – paintings, graphics, installations, and photographs – that explore how artists, both famed and upcoming, transform the day-to-day into true artworks. As a bonus, visitors will get to see inside the center's planetarium way before its official opening.

Young artist Anastasia Grishakova's debut solo exhibition collects five year’s worth of her work, which explores the topics of light and darkness, as well as the physics and “magic” behind their interaction. The mediums on view are diverse; there’ll be paintings, graphics, digital pictures, and even textile panels.
