Bachelor’s programs
Those applying to Bachelor’s programs in 2023 can choose from a list of 24 programs in 6 subject areas: IT, physics, life sciences, engineering, economics & innovation, and interdisciplinary studies.
While all Bachelor’s programs at ITMO are offered in the Russian language, international students are encouraged to apply for the university’s Foundation Program, in which they can quickly gain a grasp of the language before continuing with their professional studies.
Master’s programs
There are 76 Master’s programs at ITMO in a wide range of subjects: programming, AI, information security, robotics, physics, chemistry, biology, biotechnologies, ecology, energy, engineering sciences, economics and innovatics, humanities, and many more.
This year, there are 17 new programs on the roster, including 6 online programs. In addition, two of the new programs will offer their graduates the opportunity to immediately enroll in PhD programs without entrance exams – these are Systems Analysis and Management and Photonics and Spintronics.

Bachelor’s programs
In addition to taking the Unified State Exam or entrance exams, potential students can enroll in other ways, too. For instance, by participating in the ITMO.STARS contest or winning in one of ITMO’s international entrance competitions. Master’s programs
Exam-free admission is available to those who show a stellar performance at the Congress of Young Scientists, the Portfolio Contest, and other competitions, including those associated with a specific program. How to apply
To apply, simply sign up via the application page. In-person applications may be submitted starting on June 20. Original copies of the required documents must be provided before admission, not after.
In 2023, the application deadline for Bachelor’s programs is on July 10 for students applying on the basis of entrance exams and July 22 for those applying on the basis of the Unified State Exam or student competitions. Admission to fee-based positions concludes on August 19.
As for Master’s programs, the application deadline is set for August 4 (tuition-free studies) and August 25 (fee-based studies).
