This year’s admissions campaign at ITMO bears the slogan “We train AI-proof professionals.” The motto is reflective of the university’s intent to train specialists who can easily adapt to changes on the job market in the era of artificial intelligence. For the past four years, ITMO has been featured among the top three Russian universities for AI-focused education. On campus, artificial intelligence is gradually being integrated into the learning process: all students, regardless of their major, take part in university-wide courses on AI and digital culture. Contents of these courses differ depending on one’s level of studies, all to allow each graduate to apply AI in their chosen field.

Overall, there will be 1,580 tuition-free and around 1,400 fee-based Bachelor’s positions available in 2026. Educational programs are implemented with support from Yandex, Sberbank, VK, Gazprom Neft, Avito, and other high-profile tech companies. During their studies, students will undergo practical training and internships at partner companies; upon successful completion of internships, they’ll be able to receive a job offer even before graduating.
