The course is delivered by experts from T&D Technologies: coach Inna Toporova, creative director and coaching programs designer Alexey Abolmasov, and coach and program developer Mikhail Zvyagin. They will talk about the technique of assembling a team and the right way of distributing roles within it, give lectures on the psychophysiology of the creative process and the tools for solving complex tasks, and consider specific examples and cases.
The first, introductory workshop was held on February 27, familiarizing the participants with the concept of co-creation and having them attempt to solve complex and unconventional tasks in groups.
According to Inna Toporova, T&D Technologies coach and leading speaker of the course, all classes and quests aimed at making the participants experience the key stages of working on an idea in a gamified format and develop practical skills of working as part of a creative team.
“The skill of teamwork is one of today’s main requirements to specialists. Our company, T&D Technologies, focuses on the development of different products: we offer classic coaching sessions and business games, and we also own a patent on the technology of business quests. Business quests are a non-standard product: unlike coaching sessions, their aim is to not help form skills but to make people understand what a team is, what creativity is, what business processes are and how to optimise them, what is a customer-oriented approach and how to develop it. The participants experience these notions first-hand as part of a game and can then channel this knowledge into their processes and implement it into their lives.”
As per the organizers’ idea, the participants will go all the way from setting an objective and forming an initial idea to preparing a working prototype.
ITMO’s Rhythm center regularly hosts courses and coaching sessions like this, including in collaboration with T&D Technologies. As shared by Inna Toporova, this isn’t the first time that the co-creation coaching session has been organized.
“Though we mainly work with companies, we also actively interact with educational institutions, namely ITMO University. This is our most pleasant and long-standing partner, as we’ve been cooperating with Rhythm for many years now: we host workshops, coaching events, business quests, creative sessions for students and lecturers. Very often, it’s on this platform that we test our new products. This is a mutually beneficial, useful collaboration. We organize these events once in three-four months.”
