Fleabag for Charity
Attention! Attention! This is not a drill – this is a dream come true. To raise money for frontline health services as well as creative freelancers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the very much acclaimed theatrical production of Fleabag (its final run, in fact) by the incomparable and frankly amazing Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be available to stream on The Soho Theatre’s On Demand service (throughout April) and Amazon Prime Video US & UK (from April 10, via a 48-hour download) for as little as £4 (approximately $5). Now, the streams aren’t technically available in Russia – if only there was a way of accessing websites from another IP, right? Wink wink, nudge nudge…
Comedy at The Covid Arms
Imagine just how much more awful self-isolation would be if we didn’t have TV shows, films, books, music and comedy to keep us going? And yet, the entertainment industry is mostly powered by freelancers – who, with tours cancelled and production put on hold, are experiencing huge losses and heightened financial instability because of the pandemic. Comedy at The Covid Arms is a great opportunity to support some of the best comics and artists from the UK and Ireland, as well as the food bank charity The Trussell Trust – and enjoy an evening of brilliant comedy and creative arts from the comfort of your couch starting from just £2 a ticket.
The gig will be taking place on Saturday April 11 from 7pm UK time (9pm MSK). Please note that you’ll only be able to buy a ticket until 5pm (7pm respectively) on the day of the performance.

The Stay at Home Comedy Festival
Initiated by comedian, actor and writer Robin Ince and produced by the Cosmic Shambles Network, the Stay at Home Comedy Festival aims to deliver some much-needed comedic relief to the living rooms of self-isolated comedy fans – by self-isolated comedy pros. The daily broadcasts feature the likes of Mark Gatiss, Josie Long, Professor Brian Cox, Sara Pascoe, Jo Brand, Mark Watson and others, and are completely free to watch – though you are encouraged to “drop a pound or so into the virtual bucket at the end of the show” to support the acts and the artists in these trying times. The program for the upcoming weekend is available here.
