  • ITMO Team Successfully Presents Proposal for Advanced Engineering School

    Representatives of ITMO University unveiled the university’s proposal for an advanced engineering school to a committee of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The establishment of such cutting-edge schools is the goal of an initiative launched by the Russian government with the aim of producing highly skilled specialists for the high-tech sector. Within this program, Russian universities, in partnership with leading companies, are expected to establish 30 engineering schools by 2030.

  • SPIEF 2022: First Stage of Housing and Social Infrastructure for Satellite City Yuzhny Unveiled

    The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2022 (SPIEF 2022) featured a presentation of the first residential areas and social facilities to appear in the satellite city Yuzhny. The first stage of the construction will cover around 50,000 square meters, 41,800 square meters out of which will be taken up by housing. The first apartments are expected to be completed in 2024.

  • Art & Science Exhibition STAGE 2022 Takes Place at ITMO

    On May 27, ITMO University launched the second annual exhibition of thesis projects by students from the Art & Science Master’s program, as well as participants of the Art Project as Thesis initiative. Among research advisors are prominent artists and researchers of new media: Natalia Fedorova, Dmitry Morozov (::vtol::), Ippolit Markelov, Helena Nikonole, Boris Shershenkov, and others.

    The agency RAEX Analytics has published its 11th annual ranking of the best Russian universities. For the fifth time in a row, ITMO University is featured among the top 15 of the ranking, this year being 13th on the list. All in all, the agency evaluated 206 out of 704 universities throughout Russia.
