  • For the Benefit of the Environment: ITMO Specialists Develop Biodegradable Food Packaging and Nutritious Plant-Based Food

    Specialists from ITMO University’s School of Biotechnology and Cryogenic Systems work on a wide range of projects that are highly promising for the refrigeration, food, and waste processing industries. For instance, at the moment the scientists at the Faculty of Food Biotechnologies and Engineering are developing biodegradable coatings and packaging for food products and working on the creation of food products for different consumer categories, including vegetarians and vegans.   • School Students from All Over Russia and Belarus Take Part in the Congress of Young Scientists

    The Congress of Young Scientists took place on April 15-18 at ITMO University. This year, school and university students presented their research online. Ten sections for school students were attended by 118 participants from 34 cities all over Russia and Belarus. Their young age didn’t stop the participants from conducting real scientific research with the help of their advisors. We asked some of the students what their projects are about, how they liked the online format, and what they want to work on in future.
