    Today, there are numerous online platforms and mobile applications that help people develop their cognitive skills. Participants of the recent NeuroForum-2018 "Brain: Technological Solutions for its Development and Enhancement for the NeuroNet Market" discussed the solutions and equipment that can be used for this purpose. The lecture was part of the DH Days conference, a popular science event dedicated to Digital Humanities.

  • Coining It: ITMO University and Bank Saint Petersburg Develop Ways to Forecast Clients Spending Patterns

    Last week, Higher School of Economics’s St. Petersburg campus hosted the 10th International Conference on Social Informatics, or SocInfo 2018 for short. The multidisciplinary event is an annual get-together for experts from different countries and fields, gathering to discuss their experiences of using information technologies to study social phenomena. One of this year’s conference speakers hails from ITMO University: Danila Vaganov, a second-year Master’s student at the High-Performance Computing Department and research associate at the eScience Research Institute, presented ITMO’s joint project with Bank Saint Petersburg. Its aim is to forecast the purchases the bank’s clients make through analyzing their financial and social data.

  • Fabio Biffi, Head of Bicasa SRL, on Flexible Lab Design and Equipment of Tomorrow

    Last week ITMO University was host to the second International Conference “Lab Space Design”. The conference is organized in collaboration with Bicasa SRL (Italy), a leading manufacturer of laboratory furniture and fume hoods, the Rosanalit-Test engineering company and ITMO University’s International Research Center "Biotechnologies of the Third Millennium". Guests of the conference discussed the modern architecture of research centers, safety standards, ergonomics, eco-friendliness and complex solutions for lab spaces. Fabio Biffi, head of Bicasa SRL, spoke about his company’s main principles in designing lab equipment.

  • ITMO University Hosts BPO'2018 Conference

    ITMO University is currently hosting the 10th international conference  "Basic Problems of Optics" (BPO'2018). From October 15 to 19, scientists will be discussing the relevant issues of theoretical research in the fields of optics, photonics, and quantum technologies, as well as their practical applications.
