The contest welcomes students in different fields: engineering, humanities, natural sciences, pedagogy, agriculture, and medicine. In total, the new season offers 68 tracks – from engineering and natural sciences to entrepreneurship and digital technologies. Traditionally, the contest will be testing the participants’ knowledge of both theory and practical skills.
Registration for the contest is open until November 10, 2026. The contest will include two stages: the selection will be held on November 13-29, and the finals – from February to April 2027. The results will be announced in May to June of 2027.
Since the first season, ITMO has been an organizer of several of the contest’s tracks, while medalists, winners, and runners-up get the opportunity to enroll in the university’s Master’s programs without exams. In 2026, 243 students availed themselves of this opportunity.
In this season, the contest’s participants will also be able to attend ITMO’s educational forum It’s Your Call!, with lectures from business experts, workshops from world programming champions, tours of partner companies, and a case championship. The contest’s general partner is Sberbank.
I Am a Professional is a national competition and part of the presidential program Russia – the Land of Opportunities. In the ten years of the contest’s existence, it has welcomed 1.6 million students from all Russian regions and 147 countries. The practical experience, internships, and career opportunities are provided by over 750 employers.
