All members of the team are graduates of Bachelor’s programs of the Information Technologies and Programming Faculty. They are: Mikhail Perveev, a mentor at the Faculty Support Office; Zakhar Yakovlev, a Master’s student at the Faculty of Physics; and Nikita Golikov, a Master’s student at the Institute of Applied Computer Science. Together, they solved 8 out of 12 tasks, sharing the fourth place with the team of the Belarusian State University, who solved the same number of tasks in the same amount of time. The team from ITMO was also the first to succeed in the first task, which involved a randomized algorithm.

The team is coached by Nikolay Budin, a gold winner of ICPC World Finals Moscow.

“All in all, the team did great. They’ve demonstrated quite a good result. But, of course, there’s room for work,” he said following the contest.
