It’s a big team meeting day and our team chose to have it at the staff coworking on Kronverksky campus. It’s typically a little quieter than the bustling student coworking spaces, but has everything we need for a great meeting, including projectors and microphones. We also rented out a tablet for the day with the ITMO Share service (available for staff and students) to conveniently see our notes when presenting. The meeting went well and in celebration, we had a team lunch at the campus cafeteria.

Tuesday
It’s bike ride day! But first, if there is a break in-between tasks, we can drop by the final defences of the student project competition ITMO Collab. The competition funds interdisciplinary teams made up of students from several ITMO schools and tracks their project throughout the year. University experts are always welcome to contribute their insights on the projects and help students achieve their goals.
Phew! Once the hard work is done for the day, our team joins the Rector and the rest of ITMO Family – students, staff, graduates, and faculty – for the traditional bike ride on Krestovsky Island.

Wednesday
This day, our team picked the most intellectually challenging tasks at work – we were warming up for quite an evening. Half of the team is joining the first round of the university-wide What? Where? When? tournament on Kronversky campus, matching wits with students and faculty alike; the other half is joining a quiz held on Lomonosova campus to test their knowledge of pop culture and trivia. Wish us luck!

Thursday
As an international office, we value language-learning and exploring different cultures – it definitely helps greatly in our work! Luckily, we can do both with the ITMO Speaking Club. This Thursday, we can pick between German and Spanish speaking clubs. It’s always a little nerve-racking to start speaking, but there is still this great feeling of progress after every meeting. Plus it’s a great chance to meet people from other departments!

Friday
After a week of hard creative work, a break that is just as creative is very welcome. The ITMO art coworking is also back for the new academic year, which means there are quite a few options to choose from. On Fridays, there is a guitar and ukulele class for all enthusiasts – and two from our team have secured their spots!

Weekend
Another day – another tournament to enter! KronBars Games are held throughout the year in a variety of sports and are open to students and staff. Some of our team decided to try themselves in futsal – and the rest of us will be joining to cheer them on. What fun!
