Following the Hero. Journey into the World of Myth, Epos, Fairy Tale

At this exhibition, you will get the chance to trace the paths of mythological and legendary heroes of different lands and peoples. Take a step into cultural studies by following illustrations, paintings, sculptures, and various decorative objects and taking a new look at popular fairy tales and their heroes. Will you, too, like many experts, notice the common trends and features of such tales told by people in various places throughout history? Or maybe the uniqueness of each of them will seem more pronounced to you after you’ve seen them side by side? Finding answers to these questions will make the visit worthwhile.

This concert is not only an opportunity to spend an evening surrounded by music filling up the spacious church – which, by itself, is a wonderful idea – but also your chance to follow the route described in one of our latest articles. Stroll down the island's newly sunlit liniyas, and then find yourself at the organ concert in the company of Bach, Purcell, Hendel, and Schubert. Some might say, that’s your Sunday planned!

This exhibition will introduce you to the creations of award-winning St. Petersburg-based watercolor artist Elena Bazanova. The new gallery space is full of light, which will provide a great backdrop for the artist’s unusually realistic works. Use this exhibition as an opportunity to look at usual and seemingly mundane objects from a unique perspective – to appreciate them anew.
