  • Meet the Winners of ITMO.Love Awards

    Do you meet every single one of your deadlines? Always go on bike rides with the Rector? Maybe you put together an interdisciplinary team that created an awesome new project? To recognize the contributions of ITMO employees who work to improve this university, ITMO hosted its first annual ITMO.Love awards!   • Russia’s First Award for Young Science Artists Draws Almost 200 Applicants From Across the Country

    Applications are closed for the Art, Science & Technology Award (ASTA). This competition of interdisciplinary art projects by young artists, scientists, and engineers is the first of its kind in Russia. In total, the jury received more than 170 submissions from students and graduates of the country’s leading universities. The shortlist of the contest is set to be released on February 1, while the winners will be announced on February 6 as part of an award ceremony in Moscow.


  • ITMO Wins Grand Prix of National PR Award Silver Archer

    ITMO University’s admission campaign DIGITAL NATIVE was named Russia’s best PR campaign of 2020. ITMO also became the first university to ever receive the Silver Archer award. 


  • ITMO Researcher Nominated for Person of the Year by

    Kirill Koshelev, a researcher from ITMO University, has been nominated for the media portal’s Recognition and Influence award. The list of ten nominees whose achievements were noted by the expert committee is available here (in Russian). Public voting will continue until November 30.


  • ITMO University’s Faculty Support Office: Consultations, Workshops, and Internships

    ITMO’s Faculty Support Office has opened its doors for the academic staff on Lomonosova and Chaykovskogo streets, as well as Kronverksky prospect. The office provides information, conducts workshops, and offers professional development courses and internships.

  • Students and Their Mentors Awarded St. Tatiana Badges of Honor in St. Petersburg

    On January 25, the Students Day in Russia also known as Tatiana Day after its patron saint, active representatives of St. Petersburg universities and citizens were awarded St. Tatiana badges of honor marking the significance of their contribution to the education and society in St. Petersburg. Among the awardees were students and staff of ITMO University. 


  • Best Science Communicators Awarded at ITMO University

    On June 28, the Association for Communication in Education and Science (AKSON) announced the most successful science communicators in Russia. Among the awardees are the staff of the National Research University Higher School of Economics and the authors of the Chrdk educational project. The awards ceremony was held at ITMO University as part of the third Forum of Science Communicators.


  • Five ITMO University Scientists Awarded SRIE Scholarship

    A group of young scientists from ITMO University have been named among the recipients of the 2019 Optics and Photonics Education Scholarship handed out by the International Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers SPIE. A total of five ITMO University staff made it to the list of winners, securing the university’s first place in terms of the number of awardees.   • ITMO Scientists Awarded for Achievements in Science and Education by Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov

    At the end of May, some of ITMO University’s research staff were awarded by acting governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov. Ivan Iorsh, a member of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering, was recognized with a Leonhard Euler Prize for achievements in fundamental physics, while a group of researchers consisting of Alexander Kapitonov, Igor Lositsky and Evgeny Zavarin received a Government of St. Petersburg Prize for outstanding achievements in higher and secondary vocational education: the jury of experts distinguished the scientists’ contribution to the development of communication between higher education institutions and schools.
