ITMO Graduates Featured in Forbes' 30 Under 30 Ranking
30 Under 30, a new annual ranking by Forbes Russia, has recently been published. Compiled by experts, this is a roll call of young visionaries aged under 30 years old and already enjoying national or international recognition among their professional community. The final shortlist of ten best-of-the-bests includes an ITMO University graduate, founder of the Motorica company Ilya Chekh, while the top-100 touts Artur Gleim, CEO of ITMO’s small innovative enterprise “Quantum Communications”.

Moscow Claims ICPC Champion Title for Second Year in a Row
On April 4, the final stage of the International Collegiate Programming Contest took place in Porto (Portugal). A team from Moscow has claimed the champion title of the world’s oldest and most prestigious programming contest. This year’s winners represented the Lomonosov Moscow State University, who won last year’s contest with the same line-up. In second place is the team from MIT. It was also announced that next year’s ICPC will take place at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).

ITMO University Makes a Debut in THE University Impact Rankings 2019
The Times Higher Education ranking agency has recently announced the results of its new rankings, THE University Impact Rankings. This initiative’s goal is to capture universities’ impact on society, based on the institutions’ success in delivering the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. ITMO University made its debut in the rankings in two categories: “Industry, innovation and infrastructure”, and “Sustainable cities and communities”, making it to the global top-100 and top-200, respectively.
