  • Poznan University of Technology’s Agnieszka Barczyk on Collaboration with ITMO

    An employee of the Poznan University of Technology, Agnieszka Barczyk has recently visited ITMO University. Back home, in Poland, she helps students develop projects, find investors, and apply for exchange programs abroad. She herself came to St. Petersburg through the Erasmus+ program and hopes that in the future, this program will be fully available for Russian students as well.

  • ITMO Master’s Student on E-governance in Estonia and Interning at Tallinn University of Technology

    Imagine not having to go anywhere to vote in  the elections, or having an ID card that you can use to make an appointment at the doctor’s or pay for parking online. This is how it’s done in Estonia, which now boasts one of the world’s best e-government systems; tellingly, the country is often dubbed “e-Estonia” due to the state of its digitalization. Yaroslava Tensina, Master’s student at ITMO’s Department of State Information Systems Management, learned about Estonia’s e-government practices during her recent internship at the Tallinn University of Technology. In an interview for ITMO.NEWS, she spoke about the peculiarities of studying in Estonia and how proper management of information systems can help fight bureaucracy.
