  • Micro-Mobility, Fiber Concrete, Nanomaterials: Students Propose Innovations for ITMO Highpark Campus

    A series of workshops on creating a comfortable territorial ecosystem of ITMO Highpark has recently kicked off in St. Petersburg. The first workshop brought together students of three St. Petersburg’s universities – ITMO University, St. Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and International Banking Institute, who discussed the project of ITMO Highpark’s future dormitory building in the brainstorming format. In the course of two days, the students had to come up with solutions that would facilitate the implementation of the project and reduce its cost. Young architects, engineers and economists presented their ideas, some of which can potentially reduce the cost of the project by several million rubles.

  • A Series of Workshops on ITMO Highpark’s Ecosystem Kicks Off in St. Petersburg

    The workshop “New materials and technologies for the creation of comfortable territorial ecosystem of ITMO Highpark” has kicked off at the Boiling Point (Tochka Kipenia) space of the International Banking Institute in St. Petersburg. Over the course of two days, its participants will brainstorm solutions for new innovative materials and technologies for building state-of-the-art campus dormitories south of the city as part of the ITMO Highpark project. ITMO.NEWS attended the workshop’s opening to find out what tasks are the participants set with, how the work will be conducted and what innovations can be introduced into the plan of ITMO Highpark as a result.

  • ITMO Technopark and Highpark Launch Pre-Accelerator Program

    ITMO Technopark launched the Pre-accelerator educational program for St. Petersburg entrepreneurs. The course was created in collaboration with ITMO Highpark for the purpose of helping startupers in the early stages. In the course of three months, its participants will be testing their ideas, developing business models, finding consumers and creating the MVP, a minimum viable product for entering the market.   • Twin Campus Project: Establishing Collaboration Between Russian and Finnish Universities

    Very few technologies and ideas produced at universities are commercialized and turned into successful businesses. To solve this problem and explore effective models of collaboration between universities and the industry, Russia and Finland have launched the Twin Campus project. Part of the South-East Finland-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation program, Twin Campus is implemented by the South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences and ITMO University. Among the project’s partners are St. Petersburg Technopark, St. Petersburg Foundation for SME Development, and the regional Finnish company Cursor Oy. On June 25, ITMO University hosted the first working meeting of the project, where the participants discussed its key tasks and challenges.

Its participants from Russia's different regions, universities included, demonstrated their inventions in the fields of IT, security and medicine. ITMO University presented the concept of ITMO Highpark and the best startups developed by its students and staff.

  • Voting Begins as ITMO Highpark Exhibition Opens in St. Petersburg

    From November 22 till December 15, 2018, an exhibition of concept designs for ITMO University’s new campus and innovations center Highpark will be hosted in the ITMO building at Lomonosova St. 9. Students, staff and guests can learn about each of the four architectural proposals and cast their vote by filling out a form on the spot or taking the online survey.

  • Top Russian and European Firms Present Concept Designs for ITMO Highpark

    On November 17, the first session of ITMO Highpark’s international expert council was held as part of the 7th St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum. The discussion revolved around proposed architectural and planning solutions for ITMO University’s innovative new campus in the Yuzhny satellite city, in the Pushkinsky District of St. Petersburg. Design concepts were showcased by bureaus from the UK, the Netherlands, Austria and Russia. After reviewing the proposals, the international expert council is expected to pick one that will determine the future look of ITMO Highpark.
