What physical activities do you practice?
I have been practicing gymnastics for over 11 years now. But I started to be more engaged in cheer sports, which mix acrobatics and balances.
At what age did you start?
I've been doing sports in one form or another since I was a child. But the first conscious training I remember having was when I was 7 years old – I started attending gymnastics.
Do you have any specific things you do to help you get into your best-focused state?
As they say, where there's a will, there's a way.
Is it difficult to balance sports with school work?
No, not even the other way around. Sport develops discipline that becomes a part of learning.
How does ITMO University support you?
From the space provided for training to covering the travel costs.
Can you tell about one or two things you do that help you in your training?
I always say that it's much easier to train with friends.
Have you had any serious injuries?
Fortunately, no.
Do you think attitude is a factor in winning?
I think so, because if you’re dying to do something, you're bound to succeed.
Have your parents always been supportive of your sports activities?
My parents were the ones who took me to gymnastics, and they have always fully supported me.
Do you have any additional activities you are interested in right now?
Now, I've gotten into skiing and tennis. For me, sport is more like a hobby than a way of self-realization.
How did you practice cheerleading during self-isolation?
I wasn't cheerleading at that moment, but I'm always trying to keep in shape. Once again, sport develops discipline, so knowing that I have a training schedule, it was easy to keep my spirits up in self-isolation.
