Subscribe to our social media and ask the bot. This is the easiest and the fastest way to keep updated on what’s happening at ITMO in English. Simply follow our pages on Facebook, TwitterInstagramVK, and Telegram.

The new ITMO.Enter International Telegram bot is fielding questions about student cards, ISU (ITMO’s intranet system), class schedules, health, and leisure activities in the city. It’ll provide you with useful updates, too – all you have to do is install the Telegram app and subscribe! A new addition in 2021 is the ITMO_Enter Telegram bot, which will help you get the lay of the land at ITMO.

Get the lay of the land. ITMO University’s campus consists of several buildings around the city. When you first arrive you will probably check in with the International Office on Lomonosova St. 9. Your classes will also likely be held at the main building on Kronversky Prospekt 49 and at the historic building on Birzhevaya Liniya 14-16. Studying from home this semester? You can explore virtually with our Steps Away series.

Learn ISU. This week, you should be getting your login information for ISU, ITMO’s intranet system, where you can find your class schedules, financial information, get in touch with colleagues and classmates, navigate ITMO’s buildings, and more. This is where you set up your @itmo.ru email and gain access to the university’s free Wi-Fi network and Microsoft 365 services (in Russian). It takes some browsing to get used to, so it might be a good time to do that.

Feel Russian. Whether you’re planning to travel to St. Petersburg or study from home, you can still tap into the local vibe with our series Russian Mondays and Relocation Tips. Use ideas from the Experience St. Petersburg section to explore the city physically or virtually, and learn the Russian ways in Life in Russia. We publish new stories every week, so be sure to subscribe to our newsletter on the top right of the news page.

Get inspired by international students. We’ve interviewed almost 50 students who have come to ITMO from around the world. Check out their interviews and feel yourself part of a diverse and active international community.

Get your questions answered at the Student Services Office. This is a one-stop-shop for all questions regarding your student life: from paperwork and class schedules to academic backlog, accommodation, and tuition fees. Plus there’s a cozy coworking space to collaborate on projects and relax between classes. They’re very friendly and speak English. The Student Services Office is open from 9 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday, at room 1400 on Lomonosova St. 9. You can also make an appointment in advance through ISU, by emailing so@itmo.ru, or by calling +7 (812) 706-04-74. If you can’t come into the office, feel free to ask for an online consultation.
