Bringing back the tradition of open-air concerts in St. Petersburg, Rumyantsevsky Garden on Vasilyevsky Island is hosting a concert every Thursday in the summer. This week, you’ll get to hear a rich program featuring classics like Vivaldi and Piazzolla, as well as many other composers. The concert will be followed by a dance evening with live music.

Homeway Festival

This annual festival is definitely the city’s kindest event: organized by the local charity Homeway, it’s meant to find new homes to rescue animals, as well as raise funds and awareness. Come dressed in marine-themed clothes and even costumes (pirates and mermaids welcome!) to meet lots of furry friends, donate to the charity, walk through the accompanying market, join workshops, and swap plants in the eco zone.
