The legendary artist Titian created St. Sebastian in 1576 in Venice amidst the plague as a last plea for salvation. In honor of the 450th anniversary of the artist’s death and the painting itself, there is a new exhibition at the Hermitage. The painting has recently been masterfully restored by the museum’s experts; on display, you’ll find both the original masterpiece and a documented timeline of its restoration.

In the Hand of Dante (2025) has everything you can ask of a Friday night feature: an ensemble cast, a thoroughly twisted plot, and a high-stakes deal in the middle of it all. Nick Tosches (Oscar Isaac), a modern-day New York City writer, is approached by the mob to steal an original handwritten manuscript of The Divine Comedy. The film follows his story alongside Dante Alighieri’s (also Oscar Isaac) experience of creating the manuscript.
