Is it finally time to bid winter adieu? That’s right, the Maslenitsa festival rings in on March 14 to welcome the arrival of spring. As per tradition, the celebration will include music and dancing, folk games, crafts, a gastronomic feast (even more blinis, yay!), and a fire show, which will smoothly take you into the late evening and end with burning the effigy of Maslenitsa – and with it, you can wish all your winter troubles and failures away. Have fun and enjoy a truly Russian experience!

Have you ever seen the legendary Pirelli Calendar featuring the works of reputable photographers and portraits of a diverse cast of celebrities? If not, this weekend you’ll have the chance to see images created by Peter Lindbergh, Helmut Newton, Annie Leibovitz, and other celebrated masters of fashion photography at Erarta Museum. Each edition of the calendar explores a unique theme – in 2017, the calendar tried to convey the soul – making it a cultural phenomenon documenting contemporary culture, tracing the evolution of female representation in art photography, and setting trends for the future.
