At SPIEF 2024, Viktor Tolmachev, the CEO of Robotics Consortium, and Andrey Nazarov, the general director of JSC ITMO Highpark, signed an agreement under which the 40+ Russia-based companies of Robotics Consortium will conduct applied research and experiments in the Yuzhny satellite city.

In return, ITMO Highpark will apply the company’s advances in the economic activities of its residents and use them to design an ecosystem for a smart campus. This will allow specialists to evaluate the efficiency of these advancements to lower the cost of infrastructure operation and thus stimulate its development in St. Petersburg and other Russian cities. 

ITMO University is the only Russian university in the world’s top 100 universities in Automation & Control, according to ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking. The university managed to stay in the top 100 for the fifth year in a row. Since 2009, ITMO University has been developing a world-class international laboratory with a focus on automatic control systems and engineering cybernetics.
