• ITMO Student’s Smart Toothbrush Concept Wins National Stage of James Dyson Award

  Artemii Zenkin, a Master’s student at ITMO University, and Anastasia Balabanova, a student of the St. Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, have developed a design for a smart toothbrush capable of monitoring its owner’s health. The project brought its creators a win at the Russian national stage of the James Dyson Award competition.

• App Developed by an ITMO Student Won the VK Mini Apps Contest

  Simply Eco (Эко просто) is a project based on a VK page and a mini app. It was created by students from several St. Petersburg universities, including ITMO University. They discussed the features of the app with us and explained how it helps to become environmentally friendly.

  On September 4, three ITMO University locations hosted ITMO.GO, a great welcoming event to all first-year students. The celebration was the finishing touch in the week-long program of  Introduction Days, where students had a chance to get to know each other and learn more about the opportunities provided by the university.

• Introduction Days 2020: Welcoming New Students

  From August 31 to September 4, 2020, ITMO University hosted Introduction Days (link in Russian) for first-year Bachelor’s and Master’s students. The event was created last year to introduce new students to the university’s system, the opportunities it offers – and above all, each other. ITMO.GO, a large-scale celebration traditionally marks the end of the introductory block.
