  • Science Conference for New Generation: International Sol-Gel Conference Starts at ITMO University

    August 26 marked the start of the 20th International Sol-Gel Conference. Taking place at ITMO University, it is dedicated to research in the field of solution chemistry. This is the first time that the prestigious event is being held in Russia. More than 500 participants from China, France, Germany and other countries gathered in St. Petersburg to discuss the future of the field, share about their experience, explore promising developments, and talk about their own research topics in the format of stand-up presentations as part of the Science Slam project. The main topic of the anniversary conference was supporting young researchers.

  • International Volunteers at Yagodnoe: Results of the Ecological Raids Camp

    On August 3-17, the Yagodnoe sports and recreation center hosted the annual camp Ecological Raids, which attracted volunteers from Germany, Italy, Spain, Palestine and other countries. Together, they cleaned rubbish off the center’s territory, beautified the space and learned more about each other’s homelands. This has been the fifth time that Ecological Raids is organized, by efforts of ITMO University’s students. Here is more on the international volunteers’ expressions and this year’s camp.

  • Results of ITMO University’s Admissions Campaign 2019

    The 2019 admissions campaign at ITMO University has come to an end, and the lists of students admitted into Bachelor’s and Master’s programs have been published. The entrants of this year’s Bachelor’s programs have exhibited traditionally high Unified State Exam scores: according to the Admissions Office, the average score per subject is 92.7 points, which is 2.5 higher than it was last year. A large percentage of 2019’s Master’s entrants are graduates of other Russian universities.
