• ITMO University in Global Top-500 According to Latest THE Rankings

  The 2020 edition of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings was made public on September 11, 2019. The rankings have been expanded once again and are now comprised of 1,396 universities as compared to last year’s 1,258. ITMO University is included among the rankings’ top 500 universities and has shown a positive growth dynamic in nearly every metric. ITMO is also ranked fourth among the 39 Russian universities included in THE WUR 2020.

• Summer Edition of Webometrics 2019: ITMO University in Top-5 Russian Universities

  The results of the latest edition of the international web-ranking of educational institutions Webometrics Ranking of World Universities have just been unveiled. Published twice a year, the ranking assesses the quality of universities’ official web resources based on a range of criteria. In the new, July edition, ITMO University retains its position in the top-5 of Russian universities, having placed 5th in the national ranking and 686th in the international one.

• ITMO Is Placed Third in National IT Ranking

  The ranking agency RAEX has just unveiled its first ever ranking in the field of IT (initiated as part of the federal “Human Resources for Digital Economy” project). ITMO was placed third out of all 50 universities included in the ranking. ITMO University also continues its rise to the top of the agency’s annual ranking of Russian universities, having gone up from 15th place last year to 14th place in 2019. The results of the tenth National University Ranking (NUR 2019) by the international news agency Interfax were also published today. ITMO retained its position in the top-10 Russian universities, ranking ninth in the overall standing.

• ITMO Graduates Featured in Forbes' 30 Under 30 Ranking

  30 Under 30, a new annual ranking by Forbes Russia, has recently been published. Compiled by experts, this is a roll call of young visionaries aged under 30 years old and already enjoying national or international recognition among their professional community. The final shortlist of ten best-of-the-bests includes an ITMO University graduate, founder of the Motorica company Ilya Chekh, while the top-100 touts Artur Gleim, CEO of ITMO’s small innovative enterprise “Quantum Communications”.

• ITMO University Secures First Place in Science Popularisation Ranking

  Indicator, a popular science website, has recently published its science popularisation ranking. It has evaluated the effectiveness of PR activities of universities participating in Project 5-100 in 2017. The results were based on a questionnaire survey filled in by staff members of the universities’ PR-departments. ITMO topped the ranking, receiving 193 points out of 195 possible. Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (192 points) and National University of Science and Technology came second and third in the ranking, accordingly (187).
