A team from the International Research and Educational Center for Physics of Nanostructures has developed a device that can hold individual nanoparticles in place for easy analysis. Functioning as a universal plug-in for any microscope, it solves a major challenge in the development of new materials – applications include medical research, nanoengineering, and fundamental physics.

Education
Reminder: the ITMO 2024 admissions campaign is still on! Among the newest offerings for applicants is AI Engineering, a Bachelor’s program designed by ITMO in partnership with VK Education, the social network’s academic initiative. Upon graduation, its students are expected to join the forefront of integration of AI into every aspect of business, from security to data analysis. The practice-oriented program, which includes VK experts among its teaching staff, is launching this September.
