For the past five years, ITMO University has been among the top three IT universities in Russia and growing to be the leader in St. Petersburg. Over this time, the average salary of ITMO graduates went up from 160,000 to 290,000 rubles per month – it grew by 12% (or 30,000 rubles) compared to last year.

The ranking by Superjob analyzes the average salaries of IT specialists who have graduated from a given university between 2019 and 2024. These include aspiring employees or leaders in the fields of development, cybersecurity, software testing, analytics, data research, machine learning, data engineering, and DevOps. The ranking is based on the assessment of young IT specialists’ salaries, Superjob’s CV database, and other open sources.

This year, ITMO University and Lomonosov Moscow State University shared the second place. The third place was taken by the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, and the Higher School of Economics. The ranking’s leader continues to be the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT).
