  • ITMO Master’s Student Creates Software to Settle Controversial Moments in Hockey

    Dmitry Kukin, a Master’s student from ITMO’s program in Multimedia Technologies, Design and Usability, works at INTV, a company specializing in developing software and TV equipment for recording and broadcasting of sports events, as well as the graphics side of livestreams and stadium screens. As an employee of the company, Dmitry has been working on a project called Meteora-Referee, which will function as a video goal system.   • How ITMO Technopark Resident Orbi Prime Is Reinventing Sports Broadcasting

    The residents of ITMO University’s Technopark have showcased their latest invention at the recent CES expo in Las Vegas. The company Orbi Prime, known for its video recording eyewear, came to the event for the third time and even received the CES Innovation Award in 2018. But in 2020, it focused on a new invention – a headset designed to record and stream video content. The company’s CTO Alexandr Moreno spoke to ITMO.NEWS about this new technology.

  • ITMO’s Chess Team Places Second at World InterUniversities Championships in Croatia

    On November 13-17, the city of Pula (Croatia) hosted the 5th World InterUniversities Championships, which saw students compete in a wide range of sports. ITMO University was represented by two teams vying for the main prize in the tennis and chess categories. In the team event, ITMO’s chess players managed to win silver in the prestigious competition.   • FIA Motorsport Games Winner Klim Gavrilov: Racing Keeps Me Moving Forward

    Earlier this month, the Russian racecar driver and ITMO University student Klim Gavrilov finished first in the Touring Cup of the FIA Motorsport Games 2019.
