• AI Alliance Russia Certifies Four University-Level Educational Programs, Two by ITMO

Two of the programs are developed and provided by ITMO University. • ITMO Signs Russia's First AI Ethics Code

  Representatives of federal and regional administration, as well as leading Russian companies and universities, signed the first Russian code of ethics for artificial intelligence at the international forum Ethics of Artificial Intelligence: The Beginning of Trust. The Code will become part of the Artificial Intelligence federal project and the Strategy for the Development of the Information Society for 2017-2030.

• ITMO University Receives Grant to Fund AI Research Center

  ITMO University’s AI Research Center “Strong AI in Industry” became one of the grant winners in the contest held as part of the federal Artificial Intelligence project. The selection process was conducted by experts of the Analytical Center for the Government of the Russian Federation. The research center will be granted more than 1 billion rubles.

• First in Russia: ITMO Launches New PhD Program in AI

  The new list of fields for PhD and DSc degrees now includes topical fields – among them are Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. ITMO University has launched the first and so far the only PhD program in Russia in the field of AI. Applications for the program for the next academic year open this summer.
